Hello, my name is Alian Schiavoncini, I have been building for the web since 2001 and working with WordPress since 2005. I live in Rimini and since 2017 I have worked entirely remotely.
I started in 2001 at a hosting provider, where I was a web developer and a systems technician. That is where I learnt to stand on both sides of a site, the code and the server that runs it.
That grounding never left me, and it is still the way I work today.
WordPress came into my projects in 2005 and has been the basis of everything I build ever since, themes, plugins and integrations, and over time everything around them, from DNS to server configuration.
I have been registered on wordpress.org since 2006, where I have published a few plugins as an author and contributed to the Italian translations.
I follow the Italian WordPress community and take part in WordCamps, in Italy and in Europe. I write more about it on the open source page.
From 2005 to 2011 I worked in San Marino at Extera as a project manager and SEO/SEM specialist, on web marketing projects for international clients, paid campaigns and analytics, always working closely with the development teams.
Looking at a site from the results side was already part of how I worked, and there I learnt to do it more effectively, on an international scale and with measurable goals and a verifiable return.
In 2011 I founded Atrativa and built AboutMyHotel, a platform for managing the online reputation of hotels, which won the business plan competition “Nuove Idee Nuove Imprese”.
A project that has been with me ever since and that I still develop today.
Between 2025 and 2026 I released a major update to AboutMyHotel, which today is a SaaS reputation intelligence platform for hotels built on AI agents.

Since 2017 I have worked for myself, always remotely. I design and maintain websites and web applications for small companies, sole traders and consultants, following them over time across the whole stack.
Since 2019 I have worked steadily with Black Studio, an agency in Reggio Emilia, as a full stack WordPress developer and DevOps. I do custom development, mostly WooCommerce, handle client support and work on the systems side of the production servers.
